Assistant Chef Term time

Rate of Pay:
£10.77 per hour

Hours: 20 hours per week

Term time only

Job Description:

Bushey Heath Primary School is located in Hertfordshire and we are looking for an Assistant Chef to work on our site which boasts a welcome and friendly atmosphere.

The purpose of the post is to assist the Chef Manger with the daily cooking duties and to provide a high quality and passionate catering service to students, staff and visitors.

The main duties and responsibilities are:
Service

To serve customers in a fast paced environment with flare for presentation and precise portion control.
To always ensure the counters, seating areas and kitchen are kept clean at all times.
To deliver a quality hospitality service.
To complete cleaning rotas / dish washer duties as required.

Food Preparation

To help in the preparation of the school lunches.
To maintain correct food storage and holding temperatures at all times.

General

To act at all times within the current Health and Safety at Work regulations.
Promote excellent customer service to all customers.
Carry out any other reasonably comparable duties that may be required from time to time.
Undertake additional duties, such as cover the Chef Manager as required.
