A vacancy has arisen at our Gowanlea home in Stirling for a Senior Care Assistant.

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Care Assistant to work a night shift on a part time basis (plus cover for illness/holidays/possible sleepovers).

The focus of this role is to actively participate in and supervise the delivery of care to our residents to meet their physical, social, intellectual, spiritual, and emotional needs and ensuring dignity, choice, independence, and respect are always maintained.

This includes

A flexible and supportive approach to both staff and residents alike
Leadership and organisation of a small team
Providing support and mentoring in all aspects of care.
Administration of medication
Responsibility for care documentation
Work effectively with others

Additionally, you'll:

Undertake responsibility for ('champion') specific areas of work
Implement relevant regulations, policies and procedures, including Health & Safety.
Ensure that records are kept up to date and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Respond appropriately in the event of accidents/ emergencies e.g. falls, fire.
Ensure appropriate and agreed staffing levels are maintained.

To be successful in this role you'll respect diversity and individuality and have a genuine interest in, and experience of, working within 'adult care'.

You'll be able to communicate effectively at all levels as well as being outgoing and passionate about your role. An understanding of 'Person Centred Care' and delivery and SVQ Level 3 in Care and SSSC registered is required. You'll be computer literate and have experience of the Safe Handling of Medicines.
