Teaching Assistant


Milk Education are seeking to appoint dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work on a 1-1 basis with a Year 6 pupil who has social and emotional mental health challenges at a small Primary School in central Newcastle.


The successful Teaching Assistant will be expected to undertake all activities as required during their time at the school and be able to work as part of a team as well as be able to use initiative.


If successful, your role as a Teaching Assistant will be to work under the guidance of teaching and senior staff to support access to learning, provide 1:1 support and work may be carried out in the classroom or outside the normal teaching area.

**What you need to apply: - Previous experience working with children, or young adults, social and emotional mental health conditions (Voluntary welcome)

  • Confidence in dealing with pupils with different abilities and SEND requirements
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to complete this)
  • Enthusiastic attitude towards inspiring children
