Client:


My client is a Local Government organisation who are looking for a Digital and Website Manager To manage relationships with internal and external customers through effective and secure digital platforms.


Your Role:


  • Build and lead our software development team and community; hiring a diverse team; setting behavioural standards and good practice; taking responsibility for professional development of the product team and managing performance robustly
  • Lead our software development practice; setting software development standards and ensuring they're adhered to; defining highquality services and service support
  • Continuously deliver software from discovery to live for our most complex, risky and interdependent products and services, working in the open with the user at the centre of all you do, including working across multiple product teams concurrently
  • Articulate the value of excellent inhouse software delivery
  • To be the bridge between the digital community and Digital, ICT and Customer Services.
  • Define, design and build capability that provides regular reports on the performance of the digital estate including, availability, accessibility, navigability and security.
  • To be the solutions architect for the design of new software programmes before they are built by developers.
  • Accountable for the performance of the developers (programmers) within the team.
  • Responsible for interpreting code and approving them before making them live.
  • Review and monitor digital standards and ensure these are applied consistently

What you need to be successful:

  • Previous experience as a Digital and Website Manager
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, both internal and external
  • Experience of managing a development team
  • Accountability of performance of developers within the team
  • Experience of interpreting code and improving before go live
  • Experience of being the escalating point for online services and standards
  • Experience of ensuring websites are compliant with government standards, GDPR and correct security measures are in place
