Higher Level Teaching Assistant
40 hours per week, 40 weeks per year
Actual Salary £21,686 per annum (FTE £24,717.30)
If you have a relevant qualification, the actual Salary is £24,149 per annum (FTE £27,524.32)
Grace Garden School is located in Bristol and is a new, exciting and innovative provision, which is part of the Ruskin Mill Trust providing for children from 9-16 years.
This is an exciting opportunity offered by Grace Garden School, part of Ruskin Mill Trust for an experienced, self-motivated High Level Teaching Assistant.
We are looking to appoint High level teaching assistants to complement the professional work of the teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision.
- A patient, caring, compassionate and childcentred approach
- Experience of working with special educational needs in an educational setting
- Experience working with autism and attached related needs
- Excellent observation skills and the ability to problem solve and think creatively to enable our children and young people to reimagine their potential
- Emotional intelligence and resilience with the ability to react calmly in challenging situations
- Line management experience of Teaching Assistants
- Experience of working with class teachers on individual learning plans
- High level Ability to prepare, plan and deliver learning activities to individual/groups or short term for whole classes, monitor and report on pupil achievements and progress.
- An interest in and/or skills in working in an outdoor environment.
