Description
We have opportunities in Emergency Medicine at ST1-2 level.

Medical Education within the Trust for undergraduate, postgraduate and allied healthcare professionals (AHP).

The posts are available from 2 August 2023 until 6 August 2024 and you must have full GMC registration with a license to practice.

ED Teaching Fellows currently work alongside our ACCS Trainees, on the same rota, which is a six-week rolling rota. The rota includes 1:3 weekends - ie, two weekends every six weeks, one of days and one of nights. There is also one set of weekday nights every six weeks, giving seven nights worked every six weeks.

The rota is a full-shift pattern so there are no "on-call" duties and all shifts are worked exclusively in the Majors area of the ED.

There is a 70:30 split of clinical to non-clinical working, as the teaching fellows are released from ten 8-hour shifts every six weeks to meet their teaching fellow commitments.

An example rota is as below, with shifts in yellow not worked delivering direct clinical care in ED, but instead used for teaching delivery/preparation/academic work.

Annual leave can be taken from any shift - either ED or teaching

Closing Date:
Tuesday 20 June 2023
