The starting salary will be from £30,487 - £36,024 per annum in Grade 6A, depending on qualifications and experience

We are currently seeking an Executive Assistant to provide strategic support to a key member of our Executive Team, acting with implied authority and serving as a vital liaison between the executive and the broader university community.


In this role, you will work closely with the Executive Team member, ensuring they are well-informed about upcoming commitments, responsibilities, and university matters.

Serving as a 'barometer,' your role is to keep the executive fully apprised and prepared for strategic decisions.

Beyond individual support, you will take on a leadership role by managing a team of Executive Administrators.

Collaborating with colleagues in the Executive Assistant team, you will ensure the delivery of effective administrative support, contributing to the smooth operation of the executive office.


Moreover, you will take the lead in coordinating ad-hoc projects, bringing together the right people to ensure successful project delivery as directed by the designated member of the Executive Team.


Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive executive support for and act with implied authority for decision making on behalf of the Executive team member.
  • Work closely with the Executive Team member to keep them informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities and act as a 'barometer' to keep them fully apprised of university matters.
  • Responsible for line management of designated Executive Administrators within the team, working in partnership with Executive Assistant colleagues to ensure effective administrative support is maintained.
  • Build and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, acting as an ambassador on behalf of the Executive Team member, maintaining a high level of visibility across the university.
  • Lead, facilitate and engage the right people to deliver adhoc projects as directed by the designated member of the Executive Team.
  • Provide support and where appropriate lead projects, proposals and bids through research, consultation and liaison with the relevant internal and external stakeholders.

About You

  • GCSE English and Mathematics or equivalent at grade C or above
  • OCR (RSA) Qualification or equivalent
  • Substantial experience of working as an Executive Assistant at a senior level, preferably in a large and complex organisation
  • Experience of complex electronic diary management with the ability to manage and prioritise conflicting internal and external meetings
  • Resilience, with the power to persuade and influence and the ability to deal with challenges in an assertive yet professional manner
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including both written and verbal communication
  • You will be based at our Horsforth Campus and through our agile working framework, will also spend time working remotely, which will be discussed further at interview._
