Stores and Supply Chain Assistant
A fantastic opportunity for a
Stores and Supply Chain Assistant to join a high voltage electrical engineering company based in
Yate.
Role responsibilities of the Stores and Supply Chain Assistant:
- Purchase and distribute parts and materials to specification using the correct process.
- Complete quality inspection of delivered goods and document.
- Update cost analysis on all suppliers in a timely manner.
- Coordinate the collection, delivery and transportation of parts, materials and returned goods.
- Replenish stock to agreed levels and update and adjust the stores catalogue.
- Support regular stock checks to ensure accuracy of stock levels and appropriate levels of stock holding.
- Order and oversee the provision of PPE, tools, and tool sets, including management of the budget, allocation, registration, and return. Ensure adequate stock levels are always maintained.
- For all deliveries, promptly receipt and store goods, ensuring that the stores are tidy, organised and well maintained.
- Organise the picking, packaging, and logistics of materials so that they are available at the required time.
- Undertake training and inspections (e.g. harnesses, ladders, PPE).
- Build and maintain relationships with our clients and supply chain partners.
- Identify any potential issues/delays and escalate as appropriate.
Person specification of the Stores and Supply Chain Assistant:
- Previous experience working in a store/warehouse environment.
- Previous experience working in procurement or supply chain.
- Proven attention to detail and able to demonstrate good oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask.
- Proficient in the use of computer systems and MS Office.
- Full UK driving licence.
This role will be well suited to you if you have held a role within purchasing or supply chain as a buyer or junior buyer, supply chain planner, supply chain coordinator, stores supervisor, materials planner or materials controller.

£23,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
