Description
Our client a very well established and respected manufacturer of bespoke joinery for the leisure industry are looking for a buyer to join their team.
The role will involve- Developing and creating relationships with key suppliers
- Utilising and managing the RFQ process for cost efficiencies
- Implementing, maintaining and reviewing supplier contracts and standards
- Setting up a supplier risk database
- Driving supply chain environmental, social and governance decisions
- Regularly monitoring supplier, product and service performance and seeking improvements where necessary
- Maintaining an effective company terms and conditions of purchase and ensuring compliance with company health and safety and environmental procedures
- Sourcing new products, services and suppliers with a view to obtaining improvements in reliability, efficiency and waste reduction
- Maintaining and improving costeffective purchasing and procurement systems and procedures
- Ensuring effective stock management
- A minimum of 3 years' purchasing experience within the joinery sector
- The ability to communicate at all levels, written and verbal
- Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong analytical, organisational and negotiation skills
- Qualifications at level 5 CIPS preferred, although not essential

£40,000.00 per year
