Transfer Ambulance Operative - Andover to Knutsford


Annual Salary:
£32,090.18 pa


Location:
West Way Andover


Reports to:
Operations Manager


Job Purpose:
To collect deceased resting in Knutsford and transfer them to our premises in West Way Andover, and vice versa. To take supplies, work packs and ashes from Andover to Knutsford on a daily basis. To transfer deceased from West Way to Charlton Park and any such similar request.

On an exceptional basis only (i.e. at times when there are limited collections required between Knutsford and Andover vice versa) to collect deceased from their place of death or containment and bring them into the Pure Cremation care in a manager that provides the deceased with respect and dignity, in line with the company's processes and procedures, and good practice.


Summary of Responsibilities and Duties

  • To collect the deceased resting in Knutsford and bring them to our premises at West Way Andover
  • Take scheduled work packs, PPE, stationery and ashes to our premises in Knutsford from Andover
  • To act as a Brand Ambassador for the company, ensuring that all activity undertaken reflects the company in a positive way and delivers exemplary Customer Service
  • When required support with collecting the deceased from mortuaries and bring them into our companies care in a manner which affords the deceased both respect and dignity, in line with the Company's process and procedures and prevailing best practice.
  • To collect the deceased from their place of death or containment and bring them into the Company's care in a manner which affords the deceased both respect and dignity, in line with the Company's process and procedures and prevailing best practice.
  • Record information in an accurate way and ensure that all process and procedures are adhered with in a methodical and compliant manner.
  • Ensuring the verification of the deceased's identity before conducting the removal.
  • Encoffining the Deceased and identifying as applicable.
  • Return ashes as tasked
  • Book deceased into the mortuary
  • Removing jewellery, medical devices, materials unsuitable for cremation: verifying both visually and via metal detector.
  • As a representative of the company, ensure that you remain smart and well presented in the provided uniform at all times
  • Keep the company vehicle you use in a good condition, and presentable at all times and ensure that faults are reported, and routine maintenance is booked as necessary. Ensure your vehicle is roadworthy before commencing your journey and log this on Webfleet.
  • Drive within the law and be courteous to other road users to reflect the Company in a positive way
  • Adhere and follow all Company Policies and Procedures
  • Ensure that you adhere to the driver company rules especially relating to manual handling, lone working, use of mobile phone, drugs and alcohol, vehicle care and maintenance, speed limits and driving with courtesy.
  • Ensure that you adhere to the data protection and privacy company rules
  • Attend and complete all Company training and development as required.
