Graduate Boarding House Assistant (Residential)


Pay:
£13,000-£15000


Location:
Ascot


One of our schools based in Ascot are currently looking to appoint a residential graduate boarding assistant to join the team of a 'thriving school' who's main focus is to 'support children to reach their full potential and become confident individuals bothinside and outside the classroom'.

This school is well led by a passionate principle whose goal is for pupils "to be happy, safe and secure in our wonderful environment".


About the position:


This position would suit a graduate who is seeking school experience with a view to expend their studies to a PGCE.

- live in the school accommodation for the better performance of your duties.
- work in partnership with boarding housemaster/mistress, Senior house assistant, Assistant housemaster/mistress, graduate boarding assistant and non-resident tutors
- ensure the holistic care of each child encompassing educational and pastoral needs at every stage of their development.
- expected to be onsite during the day on the day when boarders return from holidays to help set up the House and prepare for the arrival.
- part of the boarding team that supports the academic and pastoral progress.
- resident in one of the boarding houses when on duty during term time and available out of normal working hours to assist other members of the team in providing pastoral care to the cohort.
- gain respect and trust of the cohort and support their academic and extra
- curricular activities.
