Technical Coordinator - Safety, Health and Environment (SHE)


Location:
Barrow-in-Furness


Salary:
£27,221


What you'll be doing:

You will be specialising in administration and coordinating activities relating to the SHE function including:

  • Undertaking a range of specialised clerical and administrative duties
  • Carrying out tasks based on relevant policies, standards, procedures and best practices
  • Prepare reports on SHE performance to inform decision making at more senior levels
  • Manipulation of data on various different toolsets
  • Supporting the operational SHE team in the coordination of activities and meetings, and providing technical information.
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders and other functions to support the delivery of SHE activities
  • Gathering and communicating SHE information and data to ensure delivery of SHE objectives
  • Organising and attending meetings to take notes/minutes.

Your skills and experiences:


Essential:


  • In depth experience in Microsoft packages (e.g Excel)
  • Level 3 NVQ in Business Administration or equivalent
  • GCSE in Maths and English (C / 4 or above)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience of report writing
  • Good planning and organisational skills with a demonstrable use of people skills within the workplace

Desirable:


  • Experience in health and safety

The Operational SHE team:


As part of the Operational SHE team you will play a vital part of providing on-going support of the day to day running of the SHE team.

Part of this role will include engaging with different teams and their coordinators.

There will be opportunities to grow, learn and develop within this role, helping you to progress into a SHE associate role and further within the function.
