The Department of Sociology is recruiting a Project Co-ordinator for the Cambridge Institute for Research on Race, Antiracism, Inequality, and Social Exclusion (RAISE) to support the initial stages of establishing the institute to become financially and organisationally sustainable.

A core objective of this project will be to establish RAISE as "a space that makes space" for conversations and transformative applied research.

The Project Co-ordinator will support the development of a sustainable institute model based on five core simultaneous and interconnected processes that are:

  • The design of the organization.

  • The operational process which will include everyday management of different research initiatives; consolidating ongoing related projects; linking up with existing UoC related initiatives; organising events such as seminars, conferences and workshops; and supporting the branding and communication strategy.
  • The evaluation processes and
  • The fundraising strategy.

The role holder will provide overall co-ordination for RAISE, developing and maintaining appropriate administration systems and acting as main contact point for the project.

They will manage project documentation, produce outlines and plans; provide financial management; carry out data analysis on the project and organise events.
