If you are a recent graduate who is searching for that next step, then working as a teaching assistant for pupils with special educational needs (SEN) could be perfect for you.


We place teaching assistants in a variety of settings including SEN schools that cater for pupils with a vast range of mild and complex needs, including Autism, Down Syndrome, VI, HI, ADHD, Social, Emotional and Mental Health and Physical Disabilities.

There are many courses that have transferrable skills that allow you to make a great SEN teaching assistant.

Courses involving psychology, sociology, childcare, the arts, physical activity and music can all give someone valuable assets that they can then bring to the classroom.


Some key information about the role:

  • School hours are usually 8:30-3:30
  • Class sizes range from 810 pupils
  • Experience or an understanding of SEN is ideal
  • You will be working to support a teacher and a team of TAs in creating a happy, smoothrunning learning environment.
  • You could be working in small groups or 1:1 with pupils.
  • Parttime and Fulltime roles are available

£78.00-£90.00 per day
