Our client is an established and extraordinarily successful CQC Registered practice in the West Midlands that are seeking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Obstetric and Gynaecological sonographer to complement their existing professional team,with the medium-term objective of becoming a 10% partner within the organisation.


Core responsibilities for this varied and challenging role will include Ultrasound Scanning and providing a qualified and expert diagnostic assessment to parents of the key aspects of their baby's development and the pregnancy, providing a caring and safeservice to all customers and ensuring that customers are respected and provided with a dignified and professional experience.


You will provide a correctly completed Obstetrics Report to each customer as well as the best possible high-quality Ultrasound scanning images using all accepted techniques to position baby appropriately, ensuring that mothers and families are well informedthroughout the scan process and are made to feel both comfortable and relaxed.

Additionally, and essentially for the position, you will be able to communicate effectively and empathise in difficult situations and demonstrate the highest levels of compassionand support where foetal anomalies are identified or suspected and be able to fully and openly discuss this with the parents as required.


You will essentially ensure that correct procedures and protocols are followed at all times and that the mother is referred to relevant NHS specialists via the local Pathway process as necessary and will follow up any identified anomaly with NHS specialistsas required.

You will work closely with other members of the clinic team to make the customer's experience unique, special and memorable whilst ensuring that the use of the Ultrasound machine is performed in accordance with acknowledged guidelines and in linewith the ALARA principles.

You will ensure that customer's personal information and data is respected and secured at all times and never exposed to any risk of disclosure or breach and will be eager to undertake self-development, maintaining relevant professionalqualifications and registrations including HCPC and SOR and undertaking Continual Professional Development activities as required by professional counsels.
