Weston College is seeking a Head of Construction. We are looking to recruit a highly skilled, motivated, passionate, forward thinking and supportive leader who is ready to take this area to the next level.
You will be an experienced manager with knowledge and experience within the areas of Construction.

Within this role, you will need to ensure that a high quality of curriculum is offered, and that learning is consistently outstanding.

As Head of Construction, you will be able to:


  • To deliver outstanding student success through operational leadership and management of a team of staff including lecturers, business support staff and external partners.
  • To line manage a high performing team of staff and support the team's development.
  • To ensure that the curriculum offer meets the needs of students, employers and local stakeholders.
  • To utilise business planning strategies to ensure growth and sustainability, including staff utilisation, resources, financial management to provide a distinctive high quality student experience.
  • To embed an aspirational culture with students and staff across the curriculum area.


As a Head of Construction, you will be required to teach a minimum of 45 hours per year, so you will need to be an excellent teacher with knowledge of current teaching and learning strategies.


This department is based at our South West Skills Campus, and we would welcome visits from potential applicants should you wish to see the fantastic facilities before applying.

Salary:
£45,257.00-£50,848.00 per year
