  • We're recruiting a Community Project Coordinator to join our team to support our Pet Food Banks. We believe that every pet deserves a happy and healthy life, and we strive to alleviate the financial burden on pet owners by providing access to essential pet food through our Pet Food Bank project.
More about the role

  • As the Community Project Coordinator for northern Scotland, you'll play a vital role in our team overseeing the daytoday operations of the Pet Food Bank project. You'll collaborate with pet food banks, suppliers, authorities, and community groups, reviewing processes and steering the project towards a successful conclusion.
  • In addition to the core responsibilities, you will be supporting the planning, preparation, and delivery of our summer event in July 2024 in collaboration with one of our corporate partners. This event aims to enhance our outreach and support for pet owners in need. Your role will also involve providing essential administration support and executing a comprehensive communication plan.
  • Moreover, your responsibilities will extend to making phone calls to coordinate with volunteers, team members, and food banks. Your ability to liaise effectively with our network will ensure seamless collaboration and communication, contributing to the overall success of our mission.
  • We are looking for someone based within the areas of either Aberdeen, Dundee or Inverness. Occasionally, there may be a need to travel to other partner organisations or Blue Cross locations.About you
  • As the Community Project Coordinator, you'll work in a specific region, and understanding the local scene is key. We need someone skilled in building relationships, great at communication, and with a positive attitude to their work. Demonstrating empathy and professionalism is crucial, aligned with our Blue Cross values. You'll engage confidently at all organisational levels.
  • Your organisational and planning skills must be topnotch, handling multiple priorities with adaptability and discretion for confidential matters. Being selfsufficient is essential, but we also value strong collaboration and problemsolving.
    Knowledge, skills, and experience
  • Full UK driving licence with access to own vehicle
  • Demonstrable experience of using excellent communication skills to initiate and maintain effective relationships both internally and externally
  • Proven track record of prioritising and organising work and projects
  • Proven administration skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • IT literate with MS Office and webbased databases and platforms
  • It would also be great if you had:
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role
  • Supervision or management of volunteers
  • Previous experience working in the charity sector
