ABOUT HYA TRAINING


HYA Training is an award-winning, post-16 registered Independent Training Provider delivering a variety of education and training provision to people over the age of 16.


The company operates out of a single site, situated 10 minutes away from the city centre and predominantly serves residents in Hull and surrounding areas with some small out-of-area delivery.

We predominantly deliver government-funded provision under the Department for Education (DfE) in the following areas:

Study Programme

  • Apprenticeships
  • Adult Education Budget (AEB) subcontract
We also have a commercial contract with the University of Hull, delivering maths and English provision.

HYA Training is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Hull-based charity Humberside Youth Association.

Our provider is Ofsted inspected and is a 'Good' provider as last inspected in July 2017. We hold the Matrix standard, Cyber Essentials Certificate and are a Disability Confident Employer.

THE VACANCY
We are seeking to appoint a qualified and experienced administrator specifically to work within our quality and compliance team.

The role is for 21 hours worked flexitime between our core operating hours of 9am to 4.30pm


The post holder will perform generic administration duties commensurate with the role, alongside working with the quality team on data.


We would like to hear from applicants with previous experience is analysing data, report writing and who can think 'outside the box'.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Role:
MIS Data Administrator - Part-time


Purpose:


  • To support the management team in the administration of identified curriculum and contract KPIs.
  • To administer systems to ensure regular provision of management information, primarily focusing on learners, courses and funding but also encompassing other information including enrolments, retention, achievement, progression, quality and review processes.
  • To ensure underpinning business processes and systems support the production of timely and accurate data returns and reporting

  • To observe all policies, procedures and working practices including, but not limited to, Data Protection and the Code of Conduct.
  • To practice a proactive approach to the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults, equality and diversity and Health and Safety in the workplace.

Main duties & responsibilities:


  • Administer, process and maintain data in a timely manner relating to company contracts and their learners, employers and funders.
  • Support others in the preparation of timely submissions of error free data returns to a range of external agencies and to support audit and quality inspections (Primarily ILR).
  • To maintain a full and up to date knowledge of the PICS (Pellcomp) learner record system, reviewing release notes and responding to system changes accordingly.
  • To maintain an up to date knowledge of funding guidance and regulations including ILR and data collection requirements in order to ensure compliance with external requirements and provide advice to other staff.
  • Produce a robust suite of management reports to inform company decisions and planning processes as directed by a manager.
  • Assist the management team, when requested to produce reports to support business
