Our services operate in various locations throughout the Hampshire area. Working in partnership with Solent NHS Trust we deliver the Portsmouth Support & Recovery Service.


We are currently recruiting for:

Individual Placement & Support (IPS) Specialist

Hours: 28 Hours per week (occasional evening/weekend hours may be required)

Salary Range:
£24,341 - £26,216
pro rata
per annum

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent skills and knowledge within both employment and mental health.


Based within EIP Mental Health Service in Basingstoke, you will advise and assist people with secondary (moderate to severe) mental health difficulties to obtain paid employment in the first instance.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working with a caseload of people with moderate/severe and enduring mental health issues engaging with the Adult Mental Health service to help them obtain employment.
  • Providing skillbased interventions, information and practical support to help people receiving secondary mental health services retain employment


If you can work both empathetically and objectively with clients and their employers, in a variety of differently focused teams providing high quality employment support this could be the role for you.


Previous experience of working in an employment and/or mental health setting is preferred, together with an understanding of the employment needs of people with mental health conditions.

Excellent communication skills are required.
