About the role
We are looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse or Veterinary Surgeon with good listening skills, excellent time management skills and a passion for veterinary nurse training to join our Veterinary Nursing team; do you have what it takes?


Can you help support the next generation of Veterinary Nurses to achieve excellence in their practice placements?


As a Veterinary Practice Placement Officer, you will work closely with the Higher Education Veterinary Nursing Placement Co-ordinator and Course Tutors to support the progression of our FdSc VN students towards their graduation as a qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse at the end of their studies.

You will be involved in securing new practices for placement provision, supporting our practices and their Clinical Supervisors, as we all work together to ensure the success of our students, with your focus being the students' practical skills development and quality assurance of their Nursing Progress Logs (NPLs).


Training will be provided to achieve an Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) and Health and Safety and wellbeing (Haswel) qualification as required.


Location of role


This role will be based at our Preston campus, however you will be required to travel to a range of practices all over the UK to support your allocated students.

£23,318 - £31,536 per annum, pro rata relating to qualifications and experience. Applicants with an Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) qualification commences at £24,467, pro rata.
