Centre Lathe Turner

Hours: 37.5 hours per week


Days:
Monday -Friday


Bonus: 10% of basic salary


Duration:
Permanent

Have you previously worked withing an Electro

  • Mechanical company? Where installing, maintain or repairing automated machinery takes place?


You will report to the team leader, the Centre Lathe Turner will participate in the mechanical engineering, maintaining repairing and creating equipment to minimize downtime and customer efficiency.


You will need to be flexible as travel within this role will be essential within the UK or abroad, dependant on customer requirements and business needs.

You must hold a Full UK driving licence.


Responsibilities

Day to day may vary, but general expectations:

  • Use of all standard machinery
  • TO measure and check all mechanical parts with motors and pumps
  • Detailing and producing drawings to manufacture new parts
  • Carry out repairs and manufacture new parts
  • Using metal spray equipment, you will reclaim worn or damaged parts
  • Use high speed machinery, inc lathes and milling machines
  • Use of balancing equipment
  • Checking and calibration of various measuring equipment
  • Attendance and contribution to daily SQWASHE meetings in your department

Skills Required:


  • Good understanding of the Electro-Mechanical industry
  • Good communication skills
  • Time served within a commercial industrial industry
  • Full UK Driving Licence
