WE ARE HIRING**
Connect2Dudley are currently searching for Gardeners to work within the Dudley Council all around the Dudley Borough.

Main Duties:

Carry out general amenity grounds maintenance duties using hand tools such as digging, forking, hoeing, weeding, grass edging, planting, pruning, hedge cutting and mulching operations '
Must be able to use mechanical horticultural appliances such as hedge cutters, pedestrian grass mowers (cylinder, rotary, strim, flail), strimmers, grass edgers and blowers etc. Including carrying out daily checks and routine maintenance and reporting any faults to the Area Supervisor.
To be responsible for the security and care of all tools, equipment and mechanised plant whilst carrying out their duties.
Required to carry out cleaning duties such as the cleansing of changing rooms, sweeping, litter pick and empty bins, including the removal of dog faeces and the emptying dog bins.
Assisting with the initial marking out sports facilities.
Over marking of sports pitches, running tracks, field events, rounders, javelin, shot, discus, tennis etc.
Assist with erection and dismantling of sports equipment.
Preparation of ground for planting of annual bedding, shrub borders, rose beds, rockeries and herbaceous borders.
Assist with planting and staking of trees, planting of shrubs and annual bedding.
Prepare ground for turf laying and lay turf.
Prepare seed bed and sow seed.
Assist with supervision of agency staff, volunteer workers and other temporary staff including giving instruction and guidance where necessary.
