Have you got the desire and drive to be one of our Additional Learning Support Officers? We have opportunities on a term time only basis working 38 weeks.


If you have a natural flare and an ability to motivate learners with differing needs and abilities, with excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to remain calm whilst coming from a problem solving approach to managing challenging situations.


You'll work alongside classroom tutors to help break down barriers and ensure that learners are able to access the curriculum and reach their full potential.

Having a passion in ensuring that individual learner needs are met, contribute to raising awareness and understanding the needs of individual learners in the wider college community.

Our support colleagues go into the Local Government Pensions scheme and enjoy some really great additional benefit's, i.e.

Previous experience in supporting young people is an advantage (especially if this background includes SEND leaners), encompassed with a sound understanding of the issues facing young people with barriers to their learning including, but not limited to, social, emotional, behavioural and SEND would definitely be an advantage.
