Overview:
The starting salary for this role is £32,798 per annum for working 36 hours per week.
This role supports agile working and the administrative base will be at Woodhatch Place in Reigate or the Walton Street offices in Aylesbury.
Our service enforces a wide range of legislation to protect consumers and ensure legitimate businesses can thrive. The team processes and supports investigations carried out by our Trading Standards officers.
You will be involved in a wide range of legal issues dealing with, amongst others, rogue traders committing fraud, animal health, product safety, lettings agents and food standards.
The role will include preparing legal documents for criminal Court cases, participating in investigation conferences, reviewing investigation reports and making recommendations on appropriate disposal and liaising with barristers and our senior legal officers regarding ongoing cases.
- Detailed knowledge and experience of legal processes and relevant legislation.
- A legal qualification or possess an equivalent level of experience in legal work.
- Excellent communication skills.
- That your work is carried out to a high level of accuracy.
- An ability to respond autonomously to a number of complex queries from varied sources.
A driving licence and access to a car as these will be essential as part of the role will involve travelling to various locations in both authorities.
