The Role

Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide a safe working environment, adhering to Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and ensuring they are understood and practiced by the team at all times.
  • Plan, coordinate and monitor the receipt, storage and issue of goods.
  • Ensure orders are processed efficiently and that the delivery of materials meets customers timescales/requirements.
  • Supervise and control order picking, goods in and goods issue operations to ensure accuracy with minimum handling and stock damage.
  • Organise, facilitate and manage stock takes at regular intervals.
  • Ensure that all relevant procedures and processes are followed and adhered to in line with the company's procedures.
  • Identify errors and eliminate root cause using robust corrective actions.
  • Build team philosophy and cultivate a team atmosphere by working with the team to achieve the company's targets.
  • Able to achieve results by setting high standards and committing to clear objectives.

Key Skills and Attributes:


  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate those around them to innovate and deliver.
  • A selfstarter, with high levels of motivation and action orientated.
  • A minimum of five years experience in a similar, dynamic environment.
  • The ability to identify opportunities through challenging the status quo and the conviction to drive change.
  • The ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Educated to ONC, City and Guilds level 3, BTec National Diploma Level 3, IVQ Technician Diploma or equivalent NVQ level
  • Experience of operating in a supervisory capacity within a fast paced, highly pressurised warehouse environment.
  • Good IT systems knowledge and skills including Microsoft Excel.

Salary:
£25,000.00-£33,000.00 per year

  • Monday to Friday

  • Cowdenbeath, Fife: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
