Description
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring all existing strategies, tests, and processes are actively monitored, in line with policy and responsible lending guidelines and executed in line with expectations and within Value and Risk hurdles.
- Proactively identifying opportunities to create or optimise credit strategies, credit processes, or processes within other departments.
- Driving the design and delivery of tactical and strategic changes to strategies and processes.
- Ensuring that the risk appetite is maintained within limit to support the delivery of the P&L target.
- Driving the implementation of robust and measurable tests.
- Responsible for following established guidelines and identifying and resolving problems using independence of thought.
- Analyse and make recommendations that help inform the development of policy, scorecards, and strategies.
- Investigate data, find trends, forecast performance, and provide insightful recommendations.
- Provide insight/set expectations through targeted analysis, forecasting, and development of regular MI.
- Accountable (solely or with others) for regular reporting or process administration as owner.
- Identify opportunities for process efficiencies and contribute to workflow/process change redesign, forming a good understanding of the specific product or process.
- Support the development of analysts within the wider team.
- Peerreview analysis of other team members.
- Understand Customer impact of role.
Skills desired:
- Relevant experience in personal/retail financial services
- Proficient in SAS/SQL with practical experience in a commercial environment.
- Database extraction and reporting experience.
- Knowledge of Credit Reference Agency data, scores and characteristics.
- Clear, logical and analytical approach to problem solving.
- Attention to detail and accuracy focused.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
