As a
UK Imports Broker Control Specialist, you will ensure that audits are completed for all relevant UK Imports controls.

You're responsible of documenting issues and raise CAPAs where applicable from audit findings. Additionally, management of Customs broker, controls and performance KPIs fall under your responsibilities.


_ In this role you will_

  • Complete mandatory audits relating to Broker Controls and internal processes.
  • Maintain oversight of UK Customs SCDP authorisation and ensure compliance.
  • Analyse Customs Broker reports to ensure adherence to all regulatory requirement and that all controls are met.
  • Maintain and update details of all working practices.
  • Manage all Logistics partners who process Customs entries on behalf of GSK.
  • Support Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) controls for Customs & Excise duty imports UK.

_ Basic Qualifications & Skills:
_

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Educated to degree level
    or experience in a Customs, Duty Management, Logistics or Data Management role.
  • Experience with supplier audits, including issue resolution.
  • Experience of import and export processes.
  • Understanding of Incoterms and classification of products using HTS codes.
  • Document Management and Data Management experience.
  • Ability to lead projects and deliver organizational goals.

_ Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
_

Please note the following skills are not necessary, just preferred, if you do not have them, please still apply:

  • Effective communication and people skills
  • Advanced problemsolving skills
  • Attention to detail whilst working with complex data
  • Risk analysis experience.
  • Experience with CFSP/SCDP authorisations + CDS customs system.
  • Knowledge of advanced Customs procedures, e.g. country of origin determination, autonomous suspension, pharma appendix.
