Summary of job:

At Family Action we provide award winning support services for children, families and vulnerable adults. The post holder will support our Bradford services with their data requirements.

The role will include providing and presenting data for monitoring reports as requested by commissioners, leading on the collection and submission of internal data required by the wider organisation and providing data for external evaluations.

In addition the post holder will work collaboratively with internal and external colleagues to support the continued development of case management and data recording systems, ensuring data accuracy, running reports to analyse data and producing accessible reports in order to evidence impact and performance.


Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Manage the quarterly data return process supporting local managers to complete their data returns in the leadup to the completion deadline.
  • Produce and present quarterly monitoring reports, suitable for a broad, nontechnical audience and present findings in a variety of formats for internal and external audiences to evidence outputs and outcomes, and to support and influence decisionmaking.
  • Ensure that data held on case management systems and service trackers is accurate and up to date, flagging with local managers where there are gaps and cleansing data where necessary.
  • Ensure deadlines for data submissions are met and that work is completed with a high level of accuracy.
  • Support the ongoing development of Service case management systems and Service Level Reports working with local managers and national data leads to identify and resolve issues.
  • Train and support staff to input data correctly on local systems.
  • Ensure that data is held and transferred securely and in line with Family Actions data protection policy.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests for information from commissioners, partner organisations and service leads.
  • Contribute to external evaluation process using analytical skills to produce high level reports and address any queries from external evaluators.
  • Pursue personal and professional development, taking an active role in regular supervision with your line manager
