Description
This is an exciting time to join the People and Organisational Development Directorate here at United Lincolnshire Hospital Trust.

We are currently implementing the outcomes of an ambitious People and Organisational Development restructure to reshape our service and deliver an improved people and organisational development service to the Trust.

This role is a varied and challenging but most of all hugely rewarding role.

Reporting to the Centralised Medical Agency Team leader, the CMAT Coordinator is a key role to help ULHT ensure that the correct safe levels of Medical and Dental workforce are available for our patients, whilst actively contributing to the Trust targets in the reduction of Agency spend and the reliance on agency staff.

This role supports the Trust in placing our patients and people at the heart of everything we do.

You will be an inclusive and engaging leader with drive and vision to support us in our mission to ensure we are providing a service which is fit for purpose now and also fit for the future.

  • You will be the central point of contact between the Clinical Business Units and the Central Medical Agency and Bank Team, ensuring that the staffing requirements are filled with doctors with the best capability in the most cost effective way.
  • You will utilise a technological booking platform that coordinates the booking of bank medical staff and agency medical locums, and use a variety of communication methods.
  • Working and building relationships with divisional clinical business units, providing cover of the appropriate medical specialty and grade, whilst ensuring adherence to the appropriate level of medical compliance to ensure patient safety and Trust compliance.

A significant emphasis on cost awareness and utilising negotiating skills is necessary to ensure the best value hourly rates for the trust and the ability to offer alternative solutions to differing scenarios is also key.

A full list of possible job duties for this role is included in the job description.

Our Trust is situated in the beautiful county of Lincolnshire and is one of the biggest acute hospital trusts in England, serving a population of more than 700,000 people.

We provide acute and specialist services to people in Lincolnshire and neighbouring counties. We have an annual income of £643 million (20/21) and we employ nearly 8,500 people.

Our Board have recently agreed a new vision statement - "Outstanding Care Personally Delivered" - stating their ambition for our Trust to be among the best.

We also have a five year Integrated Improvement Plan setting out how we will achieve our strategic objectives, for patients, services, people and partners, the last recognising that our future success depends on our ability to ensure the Lincolnshire healthcare system is successful in achieving its ambition to help people live healthier lives and provide care closer to where people live.

Our latest CQC report increased our ratings for being effective and well-led from 'Requires Improvement' to 'Good'. Our rating for caring remained as 'Good'.

This is in recognition of the huge amount of work that our amazing staff have done to improve the quality of care for our patients in recent years.

We are committed to helping our staff balance their work and home lives and ensure they feel supported, valued and appreciated.

People and Organisational Development is a key part of ULHT as a Trust, particularly as it aspires to become a University Hospital Teaching Trust.

Our People and Organisational Development team has a clear strategic direction and is now looking for a Central Medical Agency Coordinator to help us deliver our agenda.

This is a great time to join our team;

  • Our latest CQC inspection and report recognised the widespread improvements we made in the quality and safety of our services since the last inspection in 201
  • As a result of the improvements made, the Trust has also been taken out of special measures. We were placed into special measures (now known as the national Recovery Support Programme) in 2017, following concerns around financial management and quality of care.
  • We have welcomed our first cohort of 80 medical students from the new Lincoln Medical School.
  • We have a top 50 CEO
