As a Customer Service Team Leader you'll be responsible for the following:

  • Ensure health and safety of team members and visitors through regular risk assessments.
  • Supervise, train, and support Customer Service teams daily.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, resolving queries promptly.
  • Develop comprehensive product knowledge to assist customers with technical inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, transactions, and complaints.
  • Provide feedback on the efficiency of spare parts and customer service processes.
  • Process orders, invoices, credit notes, and system transactions accurately and promptly.
  • Upload orders and create accurate Transfer Orders in the company's ERP system.
  • Provide information on part numbers, prices, stock availability, and delivery lead times.
  • Collaborate with Sales Department to track and ensure timely delivery of customer orders.
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Production, Warehouse, and Dispatch departments for requests.
  • Assist in resolving internal and external credit control queries with Customer Services and Accounts teams.
  • Ensure timely and accurate invoicing for all received orders according to departmental KPIs.
  • Strive to deliver excellent service to both internal and external customers.
  • Promote best practices and continuous improvement in Customer Service processes.
  • Provide team member cover during absences and holidays.
  • Prepare KPI reports to track departmental performance.
  • Present performance reports to senior management/directors as needed.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing team, attending meetings and escalating issues when necessary.
  • Provide assistance for critical work as requested by the Customer Services Manager.

The Successful Applicant:

The successful Customer Service Team Leader will have the following skills:


  • Education/Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 GCSE grades C or above, or equivalent experience

Experience:


  • Minimum of 2 year's experience working within a customer service role.
  • Minimum of 2 year's team leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Customerfacing experience.
  • Previous experience working within a busy spare parts role.
  • Previous experience within an accountancy/finance role

Special Knowledge and Skills:

  • Team leadership/supervisory experience.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent telephone manner.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator and capable of handling complex customer service activities.
  • Ability to work accurately and calmly under pressure.
  • Advanced replacement experience.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Driving Licence (Essential)
