Orchard Care Homes has a strong reputation in the care industry for running and managing care homes across the UK.
To provide a comprehensive painting and decorating service to all Orchard Care Homes within your specified region.
Communicating and interacting with all employees and residents ensuring that your cluster of Orchard Care Homes are kept in good condition both inside and out.
About You:
You will have time served apprenticeship or suitable City and Guilds qualification (or equivalent)
You will have basic numeric and good record keeping skills
You will hold a full, clean driving licence ( essential )
You must have the flexibility to working hours which may include some unsociable hours as the role demands
You will have a basic Health and Safety knowledge
You will have good communication skills
You will be approachable and friendly, able to work as part of a team
You will be willing to travel and work away as required
You will have the ability to work unsupervised, able to plan and prioritise your own workload
You will have experience in decorating maintenance
You will have your own decorating equipment ( essential )
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out decoration programmes to the homes within the individual's area, complying with Orchard Care Home's policies and procedures manual.
Understand and meet statutory and legal requirements such as Health and Safety, COSHH, Fire Safety and maintain a safe working environment whilst in the care home.
Report any deficiencies that are out of the scope of this role to the Home Manager and Estates Team and follow these up.
Respect residents at all times, especially their individual right to privacy, dignity and choice, incorporating residents' needs and requirements into your work routine so that Orchard Care Home is a pleasant & safe place to both live and work.
Liaise with the Home Manager ensuring the care home is maintained in good decorative order creating a friendly and has a 'homely' feel for the residents.
Liaise with external contractors entering the home when carrying out authorised work to ensure that all requirements relating to Health & Safety and the Care Standards Act legislation are fully met.
