Description

Novax Recruitment is looking for care assistant who can do personal care and general support to older people and people with dementia who need long term residential care.


Duties will include:


  • Assisting with personal care (washing, dressing and grooming)
  • Supporting with eating and drinking
  • Building good and trusting relationships with residents and always being open and responsive to their questions and needs
  • Creating a positive mealtime environment, whilst observing changes in nutritional status
  • Assisting management with the administration of medication
  • Actively promoting independence for residents
  • Supporting and encouraging residents to participate in meaningful engagement
  • Escorting clients outside the establishment as required, e.g. to hospital, opticians etc.

Who are we looking for?:


  • Are positive and reliable
  • Experience or the ability to demonstrate the competence to carry out the job
  • Good people who enjoy caring for other
  • The ability to demonstrate the capability to gain, relevant certificates of competence or equivalent where applicable
  • The ability to work without close supervision
