Description
We are seeking a Financial Controller to join our Accounting team

  • This is a permanent role, the role and has
    4 direct reports (i.e.
4 Finance Business Partners who manage 5 Accountants between them):


  • It is a replacement role, the current Financial Controller, it would be great to
    get someone on board asap (late Feb/March) if possible
  • English is the only language required

ACA or ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant:


  • Minimum 5 years PQE (ideally c.

10 year mark):

If they have worked for a previous Japanese company, this would be preferred:


  • IFRS exposure
  • need to have worked for large, multinational companies:
-
Audit relationships: experience managing audits - huge statutory and group audits, which take up a huge amount of time in a calendar year, dealing with senior people e.g. here's the risk, show us evidence, got to mitigate the risk, hugetask - the person will need to have a good background in an audit environment and built good relationships with auditors

FX Foreign exchange exposure:different currency knowledge, strong on procedures on FX


We are currently doing hybrid working: 2 days in the office with the rest wfh - we may be asked by the business to work 3 days in the office in due course FYI.


It is likely to be a 2/3 stage interview process, we would hope to be able to do this relatively quickly.
