You will be responsible for delivering excellent patient care under the supervision of registered practitioners.

Daily duties will include providing hands-on personal care (washing, toileting, etc.), monitoring patients' conditions, and where necessary, providing support with eating and drinking.

Therefore, you will need to be caring and kind, follow instructions, and have excellent communication and listening skills.

Our teams will work with you to find an area that is suitable for your skills and long-term aspirations.

The current opportunities are focused on adult inpatient medical and surgical specialties comprised of mixed-gender wards, as well as acute assessment unit and outpatient clinics.


Starting with an entry-level band 2 Healthcare Assistant role, you will receive comprehensive induction and education programmes to help you naturally progress to a band 3 role after all competencies are met.


A mentor will be assigned to you to support your onboarding and guide you through your daily tasks and responsibilities.

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will be passionate about improving the life of our patients while demonstrating a flexible approach and excellent communication skills.

You will show a respectful, caring, and compassionate attitude in your daily duties.

All the roles are permanent and offered on a full-time and part-time basis. Flexible working opportunities would be considered where possible.


Typical shift patterns are as follows:

  • Inpatients areas
  • 07:00
  • 19:30 and 19:00
  • 07:30, across all seven days of the week (including bank holidays).
  • Outpatients' areas 08:00 17:00 or 08:00 18:00 Monday to Friday.
Your daily duties will be performed under the kind supervision of our registered staff.


The main duties may include:

  • Personal care, food, personal hygiene and overall reassurance, comfort, and safety.
  • Help patients move around.
  • Learn about individuals' specific needs and provide help in the most appropriate way.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and enjoyable clinical environment to live and work in.
  • Communicate to patients and their families.
  • Manage stock levels for linen and other supplies.
  • Contribute to the overall assessment of patients by measuring and recording height, weight, body mass index (BMI).
  • Assist with taking specimens from the patient for the ward or laboratory testing.
  • Contribute to clear and concise paper and electronic patient documentation.
