We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Material Handler / FLT counterbalance driver to join our team at our clients' facility in Brickhouse Lane, West Bromwich.

As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in the efficient movement and storage of materials, ensuring smooth operations within the organisation.

Schedule: 4 on 4 off, 6:00 am to 6:00 pm

Pay:
£ £12.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

Material Handling: Safely and efficiently load, unload, and move materials throughout the facility using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including receiving, storing, and issuing materials as needed. Conduct regular inventory checks to identify and report any discrepancies.
Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare materials for shipment according to customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Collaborate with the logistics team to meet shipping deadlines.
Quality Control: Inspect incoming materials for damage, defects, or discrepancies, reporting any issues to the appropriate personnel. Ensure materials are properly labeled and stored in designated areas.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following proper handling and storage guidelines. Report any safety concerns or incidents to the supervisor.

Requirements:

Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy objects, often weighing up to 50 pounds, and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods. A valid forklift operator certification is a plus.
Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Proficiency in inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
Team Player: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with team members and other departments. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure.
Reliability: Punctuality and a strong work ethic are essential. Demonstrated ability to follow instructions, meet deadlines, and work independently with mínimal supervision.

Salary:
£11.40-£12.00 per hour
