Vision for Education are recruiting on behalf of an alternative setting in Sunderland who are looking to appoint Youth Mentors.


About the role:


Working as part of a creative and dynamic team, the successful Youth Mentor will be working with a number of students who have challenging behaviour and who face barriers to education.

The school is a friendly and inclusive environment, catering for secondary age students with a wide range of abilities, including Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

This is a specialist school who supports young people who have a diagnosis of Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs.


Requirements:

To be considered for the role of Youth Mentor you will:

  • Have experience working with SEND learners specifically with mental health
  • Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.

The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:


  • Experience of working with young people who display challenging behaviours
