The Early Pregnancy and Emergency Gynaecology Assessment Unit is looking for a Healthcare assistant to work 37.5 hours per week.
Your base would be in EGAU at Peterborough City Hospital, but all staff are asked to support services in other departments and at other Trust sites as needed.
The Unit covers 7 day working and the successful applicant would be expected to work flexibly across the month to support the service.
The current working hours of the unit are Monday to Friday and weekends and bank holidays.- Please Note the advert may close sooner than the date advertised due to levels of interest, closing of the advert will happen with no notice*We are looking for someone who is an excellent organiser, great communicator, sensitive and nonjudgemental, who can work using their own initiative, often under pressure. Works well alone, but importantly as part of a wide team of multiprofessionals, from Admin staff, to nurses, sonographers, doctors the list is endless).

1.1 Promote and maintain a welcoming approach to all patients/clients, relatives and visitors; maintaining an awareness that they are often anxious and will be sensitive to the reception they receive and respond confidently, calmly and professionally to difficult situations.
1.2 Work unsupervised at times, in clinics within the limits of their competence, ensuring that the chaperone policy is adhered too.
1.3 Ensure that all case-notes and test results are available at the commencement of clinic. If not, to investigate, enquiring with appropriate places.1.4 Report and record accurately, as appropriate, on care given and the progress of the patient/client and to assist in the assessment or re-assessment of the patients/clients'needs.
1.5 Carry out post consultation duties and ensure that all outcome slips are given to the Receptionist/Navigator. Ensure that any transport required is made etc.1.6 Assist in the maintenance of stock levels as appropriate.
1.7 Maintain confidentiality of information received relating to patients, relatives, colleagues and confidential business information.
