PART TIME YEAR 6 TEACHING ASSISTANT - LANCASTER

A primary school in Lancaster is looking for a Teaching Assistant to support in Year 6, five afternoons per week.
This position is part time, working afternoons only Monday to Friday (12.20pm until 3.20pm).


This role will be a general TA position, which will include working in small groups, one to one and supporting the class teacher to enable all pupils to access and engage in lessons and activities.

This position is likely to continue to the end of the academic year (July 2024).


Duties will include:


  • Preparing activities and lessons
  • Assisting in delivering engaging sessions
  • Supervising and providing particular support and encouragement for the pupil
  • Ensuring pupils safety and access to learning activities
  • Supporting pupils with specialist needs and implementing IEPs
  • Phonics

Teaching Assistant Key Information:


  • Lancaster area
  • 5 afternoons per days per week
- £12.50 per hour

  • To start from Monday 19th February 202
  • Minimum of Teaching Assistant level 2 qualification
  • Experience and knowledge of KS
  • Behaviour management
  • Adaptable and flexible to support the class teacher and to suit needs of pupils.
