This role is part of a partnership project with Gloucestershire Health and Care Foundation Trust to deliver
Train the Trainer training about learning disabilities and autism to health and social care staff and assess people who have done the training.

The project started in 2020 and a webinar has been developed for staff.

This stage focusses on delivering a Train the Trainer package that will be delivered through 3 hour online sessions, so that people from across the country can train others to deliver the webinar.

Inclusion Gloucestershire will make sure that the training is delivered with Experts by Experience, who live with a learning disability or are autistic


The webinar includes:

  • Learning disability awareness
  • Understanding autism
  • Reasonable adjustments
  • Supporting autistic people with mental health conditions
  • Communication
  • Supporting young people with a learning disability.
We deliver training in really interesting ways that help people change their ways of thinking. This training will take place through e-learning (online training) to groups of up to 21 people.


After the Train the Trainer sessions we will need to assess people to check that they understand and can deliver the training themselves.


The training team for this project will include other Experts by Experience with a variety of lived experience and a Coordinator who the Experts by Experience will work alongside to design and deliver the training.

The Coordinator will support and manage the Experts by Experience in their role.


To do this job you must have a learning disability or be an autistic person.

Job purpose:

To work in a team to help deliver really interesting Train the Trainer training about learning disabilities and autism.



Hours and pay:

Hours: 16 hours a month (on average 3 1⁄2 hours a week), to be worked on dates agreed in advance


Salary:
£34,581 full time equivalent, £16.36 per hour

Locations:
Inclusion Gloucestershire, Railway House, Bruton Way, Gloucester, GL1 1DG with some scope for home working

Holiday: 28 days + bank holidays pro rata
