An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join our team.


You will work as part of the Clinical Effectiveness Team to support the delivery of the clinical audit programme and implementation of best practice guidance such as NICE, NCEPOD and GIRFT.


Tasks will include development and support for audit activities based on national and local priorities, evidencing our compliance with CQC regulations and monitoring of NICE guidance implementation.

You will support divisions to develop their quality improvement plans following the recommendations from audit and best practice guidance.


This successful applicant will be required to work across the Mid and South Essex Trust area but we are looking for someone that will be predominantly based at Broomfield Hospital.

Report clinical audit and effectiveness information to a wide variety of clinical staff.
Provide clinical audit reports and presentations.
Assist in the co-ordination and facilitation of high-quality clinical audit and effectiveness programmes.
Work with quality improvement facilitators to provide resources to support the development of quality improvement programmes.
Support clinicians in the use of audit and improvement methodology.

Assist in the development, implementation, analysis and monitoring of clinical audit, taking into account recommendations from National Strategies and NICE Guidance.

Support the Clinical Audit Manager/Clinical Effectiveness Manager and Facilitators in the delivery of the improvement agenda. This may include projects identified as a result of National Audit, local CQUINS/BPT, NICE, NCEPOD or GIRFT.

Working with the Clinical Audit Manager/Clinical Effectiveness Manager and Clinical Effectiveness Facilitator, ensuring the annual clinical improvement and effectiveness programme is supported.

Assist in the co-ordination and facilitation of high-quality clinical audit, effectiveness and quality improvement programmes to all services.

Support quality and compliance work streams, to ensure the Trust has sufficient evidence to meet the clinical outcomes of the Care Quality Commission regulations.

Analyse performance information/data across your defined area to report against KPIs for monitoring groups/committees.
