The Role:

  • Joining our friendly and inclusive Portfolio Management Office (PMO), you'll play a key role in the effective operation of our small team. We are part of the high performing Transformation function who oversee all projects across the Adults' Health and Care Directorate, delivering service transformation to meet customer and business needs to 2025 and beyond and we provide a safe space for professional development.
  • On a daytoday basis you'll work closely with colleagues from across Adults' Health and Care, as well as external stakeholders, to track projects and cost savings. You'll benefit from being part of a professional cohort of Project Officers, Programme/Project Managers, and Business Leads within the Directorate and across the Council, working in a complex transformational environment. You'll find this is a varied role with constantly evolving priorities, providing an excellent steppingstone in project management.
  • Your talent and experience as a highlyskilled project professional are essential. A Prince2 Practitioner, Association of Project Management (APM) or PMO professional qualification are desirable. With firstclass communication skills, you'll build collaborative relationships with colleagues at all levels. Your excellent attention to detail will help you to collate and present complex information from multiple sources and tailor it to your target audience.
  • Organised and selfmotivated, you'll also have superb IT skills to enable you to use Microsoft Office 365 apps including Excel and Power BI. Preferably you'll also have experience of working in local government and will be committed to upholding our Adults' Health and Care values.

  • This is a hybrid working role, meaning that you'll have the flexibility to work from home or from the office in Winchester depending on business needs. Equally, fulltime office presence can be accommodated if preferred.
    Travel Requirements
  • You may be required to visit other locations within Hampshire, and therefore need to have the ability to travel, as necessary.
