Golley Slater is looking for a HR Assistant to join their people team.


As a HR Assistant, youll join an established and experienced HR team where you can learn on the job and build your HR experience and skills.

Youll play a key role in ensuring our systems are up to date through managing employee profiles and administering data changes.

As well as providing front line support for our employees for any HR system and facilities queries, youll be involved in onboarding our freelancers, updating our policies and templates, and supporting the HR Coordinator and HR Business Partner with our onboarding, recruitment and overall employee experience.

This role is perfect as an entry level role into a HR environment where you can gain exposure to all different aspects of a HR function.


As this role will cover office-based duties, you will be based in our Cardiff office 3 to 4 days per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1 to 2 days per week.


What you will be doing:


  • Updating our systems ensuring data is accurate and uptodate.
  • Assisting the HR Coordinator in managing holiday and absence administration.
  • Assisting with general system queries from employees.
  • Creating freelancer agreements and liaising with freelancers through their onboarding experience.
  • Updating HR policies when required.
  • Conducting HR information audits.
  • Completing reference requests as part of employee onboarding.
  • Providing cover for reception and facilities in our Cardiff office, acting as a 1st point of contact for facilities and office management queries.

The essential skills and experience you need to be successful in the role are:

  • Previous experience of working in an office administration environment (1 year minimum)
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • High level literacy skills ideally educated to degree level.
  • A flexible and positive work ethic, proactivity and able to take initiative
  • Adept at using technology and systems.
  • Be curious with a passion for selfdevelopment and professional growth.
