My client is an exciting online challenger bank start
- up, with secure major funding, a fantastic product and actual profitability.


If you're looking to get stuck in at the sharp end and be one of the first few through the door with a successful start-up, this is a chance too good to miss.

You will be joining a small, experienced team and building up the functionality of a bespoke, best-of-breed banking technology. A single platform delivering loan issue, card issue and recovery.

You will work closely with the CTO and key business stakeholdersas we scale up our business processes and tech stack.

We are looking for a sharp, hands-on, commercialSenior Developer, with drive and ambition, who wants to grow and scale up with the company.

Demonstrable experience of mentoring other developersis beneficial, as is driving code review processes.

You should also have some experience contributing to the design of atechnical architecture and the integration requirements for a solution.

Experience modernising a tech stack, is also highly valued.


Essential:

  • 6+ years commercial or similar experience
  • Demonstrable expertise in PHP development full LAMP stack with Laravel


  • PHP

  • Strong SQL
  • Understanding of OOP (Object Orientated Programming)
  • Experience of writing unit tests, and using PHPUnit
  • Source code version control using Git
  • Experience of deploying into and using AWS services including VPC, EC2, RDS, API Gateway
  • Experience of deploying and using industry standard development tools including Swagger, Jenkins

Beneficial:

  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript & JQuery
  • Experience of implementing RESTful web services
  • Knowledge of Wordpress
  • Experience modernising a PHP code
  • Previous experience in a startup culture
