I am very pleased to be supporting my client in the recruitment of a Tax Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to commence a career in Tax. My client are a Global Financial Services company experiencing incredible growth. Based in the City of Londonthe role offers Study support, full Hybrid working model, yearly bonus & strong benefits.

Please find an overview of the role below:

  • Assist with the preparation and submission of VAT returns
  • Corporation tax payments
  • Assisting with tax accounting and reporting for entity and consolidated financial statements.
  • Assisting on other tax and finance projects
  • Where possible improving the tax compliance processes, controls and systems.
  • Ad Hoc tax or accounting tasks including coordination and collection of information to prepare internal reports.
  • Support the Indirect Tax Manager with other areas of taxation as required.
  • To comply with relevant procedures and policies.

Knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Ideally 12 years experience in a Finance role ideally in Financial Services or Accountancy firm
  • Strong Excel ability including producing Pivot tables & V lookups
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proactive, selfstarter, seeks continuous improvement
  • Ability to manage time, meet deadlines and prioritise
  • University degree in Finance, Business or Accounting would be an advantage
