Trainee Production Assistant

Location: West Mersea

Salary:
£19, dependent on age) reviewed after training period

Days/Hours of work: Monday to Friday; 9.00am to 5.00pm (with hour for lunch)

Our client, one of the UK's leading manufacturers of wheeled removals equipment is looking for a Trainee Production Assistant to join them at their office based in West Mersea.

You should be a practical person who enjoys hands-on working, is physically fit (able to lift 25kg), a fast learner with a keen eye for detail.


Role includes:


  • Learning every element in the production of the equipment
  • Acquiring competence in the safe and accurate use of a wide variety of power and hand tools
  • Working with a range of materials and adhesives including wood, aluminium, steel and rubber
  • Preparing finished products for despatch, helping pack them into boxes, crates and pallets.
  • Involvement in stock control of factory supplies, components and materials
  • Taking part in daily team production planning meetings
  • Helping to keep workshops and warehouses tidy, wellorganised and safe; complying with statutory and company health & safety, fire and other regulations and policies
  • After successful completion of probationary period:
  • attending a welding course and additional in-house training in order to become
proficient in welding our aluminium piano trolleys and take full part in every
aspect of their manufacture;
- attending a forklift training course and additional in-house supervision in order to
be part of our forklift team rota for loading and unloading goods from hauliers
and internally within our warehouses.


INDHIGH

Salary:
£19,026.40 per year
