Are you an Infrastructure Engineer who enjoys project work?
We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer who will be responsible for the implementation, support, and maintenance of all existing and future infrastructure at a very prestigious client site.
You will ensure alignment of all IT infrastructure aspects atthe site by a unified approach.We are looking for a self-motivated and communicative person who thrives in a busy environment with constant change, delivering Infrastructure projects and working in a daily operations environment too.
What you will be doing:
- Managing any incidents, requests, changes, and problems
- Management of the server environment/estates
- Actively support the patching of the client estate (Windows and VMware)
- Support and manage the client Citrix/VDI environment
- Maintenance and production of technical documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing and skills development
- Proactively monitor the environments for issues
- Server Availability Planning in line with requirements
- Install and assemble any infrastructure hardware
- Supporting remote customer sites working with multiple infrastructure teams
- Follow standard project processes and procedures to produce documentation to be used in proposals
Essential Skills:
- Knowledge of Wintel computer hardware & operating systems (Windows 2012, 2016, 2019)
- Experience with Virtualisation, VMware ESXi 7. x,
- Windows DNS & DHCP, with a good understanding of both principles
- TCP/IP troubleshooting skills
- Active Directory, Group Policy, and Scripting Knowledge
- Windows Server patching using WSUS and SCCM
- Demonstrable experience with VMWare, and Windows servers in administration, operations, and support
Desirable Skills:
- Experience involving multiple Operating System vendors
- Microsoft Certifications (MCP, MCITP, MCSE, MCSA, MCTS)
- Linux/Unix basic skills
- Security Clearance
