The Role_

Partner with Legal to execute third party savings of $5-6m in 2023, $10m by 2024, supporting the strategic direction of Sky.

The role will report into Stefan Welsche, within the Corporate & Business Procurement team. The role will be for an initial 6-9-monthduration.

_Core Activities_

  • Support the 2023/2024 outside counsel spend optimization and contribute to the achievement of Sky Group wide workstreams to optimize Legal related 3rd party spend across UK&I, ITA and DACH ($56m in CY23 and $10m by CY24)
  • Support ongoing and planned sourcing events, e.g., legal panel review work (3tier panel) to address top 45 vendors, implementation of Managed Service providers, IP Legal consulting RFP
  • Input into evaluation criteria for selection processes and ensure transparent validations and documented decisionmaking
  • Manage negotiations with new and incumbent law firms and alternative legal services providers, update existing contracts and implement framework agreements
  • Support strategic selection of CLM and liaise with wider Enterprise roadmap
  • Establish BAU Procurement engagement process for deals over $250k in line with Group Procurement policy, formalise tendering process and facilitate by use of Ariba RFx and quick bids
  • Define and agree required governance and vendor management approach with the business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery against contracts
  • Closely collaborate with Legal Ops team to ensure implementation of billing rules and guidelines for instructing outside counsel and exploit opportunities of ebilling tools
  • Introduce supplier management framework including reporting and review mechanism (supplier performance scorecard and ABR/QBR)
- build, maintain and influence senior stakeholder relationships ensuring clear alignment between strategic business plans and Procurement's direction
- work closely with Procurement, Finance, and business colleagues across the wider Group, including teams in Italy, Germany, and the US.

Essential Desirable Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
  • Procurement qualification (e.g. CIPS)

Experience:


  • Proven Procurement experience in Legal Procurement
  • Experience of working in a global / panEuropean function, being able to manage varying demands and needs within a single project
