The Team & Focus of the Role


As a brand-new role for the team, this is a great opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller to join a small & friendly department in our Head Office.

Our Finance team assist with wider business with everything from processing invoices to managing year end & forecasting budgets.

You would assist our divisions to collect invoices from our clients and help manage any issues that arise in the process to ensureaccurate forecasting can be completed & debts collected in a timely manner.


You would also be working with other Credit Controllers across specific divisions, the wider finance team & Partners/Instruction Managers across the business so effective communication is essential.

This role would be based within our Head Office in Ashby de la Zouch and operates within our hybrid working policy.

Hours would ideally be 37.5 a week (Monday - Friday) however we're open to discussing flexible working patterns across a minimum of 30 hoursper week


Duties will include:


  • Creating and upholding payment procedures and policies that ensure timely payment
  • Ensuring that best practice is shared across the group
  • Responding to client queries
  • Keeping customer retention levels high
  • Reconciling accounts
  • Providing administrative support to finance team
  • Reducing debtors' 'Days Sales Outstanding'
  • Ensuring the team adhere to credit and collection procedures
  • Customer relations
  • Negotiate payment plans with customers and set up loan terms and conditions
- excellent communication skills, good levels of diplomacy and the ability to inspire customer loyalty and satisfaction
years' experience in credit control

  • Excellent customer services skills.
  • Experience with ERP system
  • Ability to clearly explain financial matters to a diverse group of people
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise workload
  • Good analytical skills
