Engagement and Interface Manager
We are recruiting for an Engagement and Interface Manager on a permanent basis.

Your role will be responsible for supporting the Senior Engagement and Interface Managers in the delivery of the community engagement strategy and interface management, supportingthe agenda and work that results from any senior stakeholder engagement within the project team.

Also, supporting the management, coordination, and guidance provision to the delivery team.


As an Engagement and Interface Manager, you will need to have/be:

  • Ability to network, influence, and develop collaborative relationships by listening and building trust amongst stakeholders and communities using diplomacy.
  • Ability to develop and deliver difficult messages to highly sensitive audiences.
  • Analytical skills ability to interpret and respond to changing landscapes and understand and communicate complex issues with clarity and attention to detail.
  • Prioritisation able to work to tight deadlines in a calm manner even in a fastmoving organisation.
  • An ability to achieve personal credibility by exercising understanding, objectivity and sound judgement.
  • Communication skills ability to develop and deliver clear communications, written and verbal.

Role of Engagement and Interface Manager:

  • To be responsible for supporting the delivery of the community and stakeholder engagement and interface ensuring a joint execution of the strategy within an project team.
  • To be accountable for escalating any Stakeholder Engagement and Interface issues, existing and potential, within a project team and work with the Senior Engagement and Interface Manager for its resolution.
  • To be responsible for raising and escalating engagement risks and opportunities working with the project tea to manage and deliver effective and tailored engagement and stakeholder management.
  • To be accountable for supporting the successful delivery of engagement performance, including monitoring against KPIs, auditing, assuring and checking quality of outputs.
  • To be responsible for supporting the identification of best practices and the creation of best practice case studies to share with others and to promote the work of the teams both internally and externally.
  • To be accountable for supporting the consistent approach to visitor centres and viewing platforms to further engage audiences.
  • To be responsible for supporting the development of the Commonplace sites to ensure consistency and quality of information.
  • To be accountable for providing local, geographic knowledge to the delivery teams.
  • To be responsible for supporting the Senior Engagement and Interface Management in the development of an overview of the communities, their key issues, and efficiently responding to enquiries and complaints.
