    _In this role you will provide a professional response to calls received into Warwickshire Police._

You will be entitled to 10% Irregular Hours Allowance and 14.19% Weekend Working Allowance.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • To provide a high-quality telephone call handling service to the public in accordance with guidance and training provided, and meeting performance targets as set by the organisation.
  • Provide resolution to calls, providing information and/or signposting to the relevant department or agency.
  • Work co-operatively with team members and colleagues, contributing positively and constructively to the achievement of team and organisational objectives.
  • Use force technology in line with the Triage function to be able to transfer calls appropriately.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS:


  • Required to wear a uniform.
  • Exposure to disturbing/unpleasant images or tasks.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:


Knowledge:


  • A general education to GCSE standard (grades A
  • C) or equivalent.

Experience:


  • Experience of using Windows based IT systems.
  • Some experience of working in a customer services environment.
  • Proven ability to maintain a professional service to customers when under pressure.

Key Skills:


  • The ability to gather information using appropriate questioning techniques.
